Manufacturing

The Norriseal-WellMark manufacturing facility is located on a 10-acre site in northwest Houston, TX (USA). The facility consists of a 62,500 square-foot office building and modern manufacturing plant equipped with the latest automated machinery and staffed by highly experienced personnel.

We manufacture to the most up-to-date design criteria and requirements of ANSI B16.34. In addition, we are certified to ISO 9001:2008 and meet the quality assurance standards for welding, tolerances, inspection and testing procedures as stated in the Norriseal-WellMark Quality Assurance Manual.

2016

The Norriseal-WellMark brand is introduced as the company transitions with a broader product portfolio, more cohesive new product development, enhanced service and support and greater efficiencies.

2015

Norriseal partners with Siemens to deliver the Series 8900 SmartPredictor electropneumatic positioner.

2014

Norriseal acquires Wellmark to expand its portfolio of regulators, relief valves, chemical injection pumps, control valves and instrumentation.

2009

Norriseal introduces the Series 1200 magnetic liquid level gauge as an accurate, low-maintenance alternative to sight glasses.

1994

Norriseal receives ISO 9001-2008 accreditation.

1993

The Norris butterfly product line is moved to the Norriseal Houston manufacturing facility, creating the current Norriseal company.

1990

The Norriseal facility in Houston is enlarged to 62,500 square feet.

1981

Norriseal receives the “Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation” from Petroleum Engineer Magazine for the Series 7100 Non-Slam Piston design.

1980

Norriseal provides all the valves and controls used on the Thistle Platform located off the coast 1979 at Aberdeen, Scotland in the North Sea.

1979

Norriseal releases the Series 7100 Flo-Lift® Piston Check Valve, which incorporates the body and trim components of the Series 2700 with the Non-Slam Piston and Bonnet Closure.

1975

The Series 1001A Liquid Level Controller is introduced with enhancements like a sealed case and cover, rugged internals for vibration application, and a special material for marine environments.

1971

Norriseal receives the “Meritorious Award for Engineering Innovation” from Petroleum Engineer Magazine in 1971 for the Series 2700 Balanced Plug Trim design.

1970

The Series 2700 Control Valve is released with its Bolted Bonnet Closure and Balanced Characterized Valve Plug.

1966

The Series 2200/2200 High-Performance Control Valve is released, featuring the Hammer Nut Bonnet Closure.

1963

The Series 1000 Liquid Level Controller is redesigned and introduced as the Series 1001. Today, this product continues to incorporate the patented No-Bleed Pilot feature.

1962

Dover acquires Parks Equipment Company under its Norris business unit and rebrands the merged entities as the Norriseal Controls Division.

1955

Asbury Parks starts the Parks Equipment Company in his garage.
